Through a fable of anticipation, director and circus artist Raphaëlle Boitel organizes the resistance of the sensible through the alliance of dance, theater and circus arts.

In a world ruled by technology, human beings with the look of disarticulated puppets and burlesque gesticulations, hold suspended from strings subjected to the blind directives of all-powerful robotic arms. From the darkness of this sunless lair, all it takes is one unyielding being to break through and give birth to the glimmer of another possible world. With her trademark sense of chiaroscuro, Raphaëlle Boitel imagines a futuristic, spectacular version of Plato's myth of the cave, in which a sealed-off community protects itself at all costs from a world it knows nothing about. Here, with the help of apparatus, the director takes the risk, letting go and vertigo inherent in any quest for emancipation. Fallen angels or utopian human beings, it doesn't matter: the beings who populate Raphaëlle Boitel's play ensure the noble task of instilling hope when it comes to facing the night.
