KA‑IN

There are 13 of them. Ten men and 3 women. Hip-hop dancers, porters, balancers, jugglers. All acrobats. They offer an organic, powerful and funny show, exploring the circle as a symbol of time, rebirth and unity. Illuminated by chiselled chiaroscuro lights, the acrobats also tell the story of Tangier: the sea, the sky, the cosmopolitanism of this frontier city so near and so far from Europe. The troupe perpetuates the human pyramids of their ancestors, used to peer beyond the walls and spot enemies.
Founded in 2003, the Groupe acrobatique de Tanger embodies Morocco's artistic effervescence. It often invites major circus artists: Aurélien Bory (Azimut) or Maroussia Diaz Verbèke (FIQ!), and now Raphaëlle Boitel. The woman who created the sumptuous La Chute des anges and Ombres portées (at Les Célestins in 2023 and 2025), makes KA-IN a bridge between generations, a kind of dreamy fraternity.
