Ix : variations
In a small village in southwestern France, a child with the name Ix is born, with an uncertain and shifting identity. Like a 17-track pop music album, this performance in 17 fragments with radically different forms of writing, traces the existence of this character. From birth to adulthood, we explore the different strata of violence - social, familial, historical - that punctuate the existence of a queer child, and ultimately constitute him or her.
Through fiction, but also through discrepancy, comedy, show, the monstrous and the art of drag, Marcos Caramés-Blanco and Lucas Faulong compose a fragmentary, queer ensemble in search of a utopian impulse, freeing themselves from the schematic representations imposed on beings who don't fit into the social norm.
