Incendies

Sixteen years after its masterful presentation in the Cour d'honneur of the Palais des Papes in 2009, Incendies returns to Avignon! The play is performed by a young troupe of actors driven by the force and urgency of Wajdi Mouawad's masterpiece.
On the death of their mother, Jeanne and Simon receive two letters: one addressed to a father they thought dead, the other to a brother they never knew existed. Inspired by the great tragic myths, Incendies explores the wounds of the contemporary world, questioning love, violence and memory.
