The stag is the king of the forest. The great archaic beast, crowned with a high crest. The one who muse and bellow at the top of his voice. The one that fascinates man, decorates the walls of Lascaux, populates primitive myths and folk tales. The one that, century after century, never ceases to defy the huntsman. To wrestle with the stag is to confront raw power, to encounter the wild. But it also means risking disorientation, faced with a paradoxical creature: massive and light; virile and feminine; brutal and seductive. Animal and muscular, but with mossy branches that fall like dry wood. Real, but dragging with it a procession of legends. Around the mythical figure of the stag, her body, her noises, her antlers transformed into apparatus, Fanny Soriano composes a troubling show that celebrates wild life, molting and regeneration.
