Fantômes

Add to my favorites

Between present and past, lightness and heaviness, the play, illuminated by the quality of the presence of two great actors, upsets the demarcation lines between childhood and aging, solitude and attachments. Hugues looks back on his life and talks to his friend Laurent. They've known each other all their lives, and weigh up their silences as much as their words. They are reunited around photos from the past, those of Hugues, and those featuring his missing mother, "the goddess", of magnetic beauty, provoke a burning within him. A poignant, delicate piece of writing by the great author Philippe Minyana, in which words flow not without irony. A story of friendship that touches our hearts and sends us back to our own ghosts.
