ou l’odyssée de l’homme qui rêvait d’être poète

Malal lives between dream and reality, writing verse and falling in love with a phantasmagorical figure named Marianne. Baffled by his own destiny, fleeing his personal tragedies, he leaves his country and heads for Europe. His epic is delivered to us in the style of a modern tale, imbued with dreamlike poetry, brilliantly weaving narrative continuity between filmed sequences and theatrical performance, accompanied on stage by three musicians.

Adama Diop, an exceptional actor seen with Frank Castorf, Tiago Rodrigues and Jean-François Sivadier, among others, carries the interpretation of this multifaceted tale high. After twenty years living in Senegal, then twenty years in France, his first creation, directly inspired by his own experience of otherness, evokes the complex realities and multiple destinies obscured by the designation "migrant".
