Contre-nature
Fascinated by aerial movement, Rachid Ouramdane brings together ten performers capable of pushing back their limits both on the ground and in the air. With this contemplative show, the choreographer and director of Chaillot - Théâtre national de la Danse continues his research begun a few years ago with the acrobats of Compagnie XY.
In a bare set, sometimes sculpted with light, sometimes traversed by evanescent videos, he tells us about encounters, and how they shape our personalities.
Set to Jean-Baptiste Julien's sensitive music, the performers soar and multiply their perfectly mastered lifts. As if weightless, they abandon themselves and interweave their different languages to become one, at the crossroads of circus and dance, evoking childhood and the passage of time in a subtle metaphor for the bonds that unite us.
