Au-delà de toute mesure
In Venice, Marie and Giovanni, janitor and guard at a museum, meet Violaine. Punctuated by silences, seven days follow one another, each of which offers the trio the chance to discover more about each other while at the same time expiating their passions alongside the works on display. For a long time, Elsa Agnès has been visiting museums across Europe, drawing inspiration from Italian Renaissance paintings. In Au-delà de toute mesure, a Vierge à l'enfant by Bellini stands next to a dry water tank; during acqua alta, tuna sandwiches are eaten, under the violent purple of Judith and Holofernes. A humorously lyrical and trivial in camera play, where three solitudes find someone to talk to, taking refuge between small and big stories.
