66 pulsations par minute
There are ten of them. They are young. They meet one summer in one of those lost corners of France where you feel like a survivor of a comically grim catastrophe called adulthood.
Summer 2018. A village spread out in the sun. Ten teenagers get to know each other. They haven't chosen each other. Divergent characters but common concerns. What's the future going to be like? What are they going to do with this tomorrow spread out as far as the eye can see? How can they put themselves to the test? They have more or less clear-cut ideas about how to fit into a society that seems either hard or fuzzy, depending on the situation. They want to invent a rite to meet adulthood. Life sometimes explodes where you least expect it. Ten years later, we find them again. Ten years of independent living. Ten years is a long time, and then it's nothing. It's time to move and/or tread water. In any case, it's time to be summoned by the teenager you're no longer really and who's calling you to account.
Pauline Sales wrote this play tailor-made for the young actors of the Class 28 of the École de la Comédie de Saint-Étienne, of which she is the patron.
