Eda, a young minister, is about to deliver an important speech on significant environmental measures. She is supported by her husband Auguste and by Ines, the au pair who admires her. Georges, a butcher’s assistant, is about to listen to the speech that will change his life. A dark and bleak alternate history of our society, exploring its relationship with the environment, with hope, but also – and above all – with violence and sacrifice. Are systemic and personal forms of violence similar?  Do they shed light on one another? Is violence inevitable ? A story about winners and losers. On inevitable sacrifice. On good intentions and bad ones. On the paths we choose to take, and on the consequences… Is there any escape from the sacrificial knife?
