For her directorial debut at the Trident, Rosalie Cournoyer delves into her favorite themes, as feminism, class struggle, and the closed-door setting converge in the decidedly contemporary work by Italian playwright Stefano Massini. Amid a hyperrealistic aesthetic, the eleven actresses will highlight the difficulty of surviving in a world where time and money stubbornly control our destinies; where taking a seven-minute break during a workday can forever alter a very part of their identity. Surrounded by an all-female team of performers and creators, the production will explore the complexity of intersectional feminism in a work where debate becomes action, and where unity seeks to create strength.
